Can you disable uploading files to Teams INTERNALLY so we can use links instead?

Hi,

  We would like to prohibit internal staff from uploading files to Teams, and instead have them upload OneDrive LINKS to the files. We're trying to prevent the uploaded files from cluttering up the folder structure in the General Tab.

Is there a way to do this? Thanks!

Unfortunately there is no way we can disable the uploading of the files to the Teams Internally. We have an option to disable the uploading the files externally but internally it is not possible.

File sharing is one of the Key Feature for Microsoft Teams hence we cannot disable it. You can always raise a Microsoft Teams Uservoice request for the same. https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/
