Can the automatically generated recording go to the organizer's OneDrive instead of first attendee's

When a meeting is set to be automatically recorded, the recording will go to the Onedrive of the first person who joins the meeting.


It would be awesome that it always went to the meeting organizer's Onedrive instead, as not every time the organizer will join first. I know the organizer will still have permissions over the recording regardless of whose onedrive's it goes to. It still isn't very organized for the recordings of our weekly training sessions to be spread over different people's Onedrives.


There's also the chance of restricting people from entering the meeting before the organizer, but sometimes even the organizer won't attend the meeting, I could be on holidays or just to busy and choose to not attend knowing the presenter can take care of the whole thing with no issues.


Is there somewhere this can be changed?


Otherwise it should really really be on the roadmap for development.

To be able to record a meeting one must have the presenter role so you should be good by making the other attendees when using the automatic recording feature

@ChristianJBergstrom I saw your answer from Feb 20, 2023 to this question. You said only presenters can start the automatic recording by joining the meetings. The problem is that everyone in the meeting needs to have the ability to share their screen, but only the organizer/co-organizers should receive the recording in their OneDrive. Our company has strict policy about Meeting recordings, and to have them go to the first attendee goes against that policy.  Anything you can suggest would be greatly appreciated. :)  

Sorry I'm replying almost a year later. It seems like I'd have to set everyone to not be presenters, then give permissions to right person once in the meeting. It sounds like if the organizer / presenter (reduced to the same person in this case) does not join then the automatic recording will never start.

Seems like the automatic recording feature triggers off of a user joining / starting the meeting. And it gets stored in this user's one drive. What I want is that the feature triggers off of the meeting getting started, regardless of by whom, and that it goes to the Onedrive of the organizer.

It sounds like what you (& I) want is not possible. Am I reading that correctly? I was so excited to learn about the automatic recording, but now I'm just not going to be able to use it at all. :(
