Can Planner use Teams Group

Hello Team Gurus - We created a Team and it automatically created a group. When we created Planner with the same name it caused a issue, so we changed a name of the planner and it created another group. Our IT head concern with so many 365 Group appears in the Outlook for the same project. How to deal with so many groups situation?

When you create a Team, it creates an underlying Microsoft 365 Group, which you can also use directly with Planner (no need to create it therein). Simply hit the "Add to existing Microsoft 365 Group" option when adding a new plan.
