Can a participant begin the Teams meeting without the organizer's presence?

Copper Contributor

I've tried several times to set up Teams meetings for other parties, outside my organization. I've changed the settings so that anyone can bypass the lobby and still, the participants were held in the lobby until I (the organizer) would not start the meeting. What could be the problem?

Yes, they can, subject to the value of the "Let anonymous people start a meeting" meeting policy setting. The Lobby settings should be adjusted to allow automatic admission, and the same for the per-meeting settings.

Hi @alinap2022

You need to have the meeting configuration saved as below in the screenshot. This should fix your problem.

@RealTime_M365 do you know if this can be updated after the meeting has already been scheduled or does it need to be set up this way when the meeting is scheduled?
