We are steadily migrating users from SfB PSTN calling to Teams and they have pointed out that in Skype you could set a separate device to ring when calls came in (such as a computer speaker) and then the audio happened via a headset or the like.
Teams only seems to ring on the headset if that is set as the main audio device and users are missing calls if they're not wearing their headset and don't see the popup notification. We have tried setting the speaker to the computer speaker under settings and devices but then the call audio comes through that as well.
Many thanks in advance!

If you are using a certified headset you should get the ring to the default device, but the call should come to the conferencing device. My laptop rings, but I take the call in the headset.
What type of headsets are you using ?

@Steven CollierI still only get the ring through the headset despite setting audio in Windows to come from the laptop speakers (and can hear media and sounds fine). When a call is ringing in Teams though it still only rings in the headset and nothing coming from laptop speakers.
Am using a Jabra Evolve 40 headset which is certified according to the Teams Marketplace.

We're seeing the same thing. Testing with different headsets, on Windows and Mac, and the ring doesn't come from the device speakers.

We are having the same issues. Tried all sorts of Windows/Teams sound device configurations and only get the call ringing on the headset. In most cases (arbitrary, it seems), the call popup at the bottom right of the screen stays in the background.

@Steven Collier what type of headset are you using? You seem to be the only one who successfully has calls ring on your speakers and then call audio in your headset - I want to get headsets for my office staff but I want to make sure that they're capable of this. Thanks!

@R_DiFede As @Ben Dodson said, wait for the feature to be released, not long now. I'm not sure realy what happened to me, it certainly worked when I tried but I can't recreate.
If you are buying headsets make sure they are Teams certified https://products.office.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/across-devices/devices

In message center it say:
"We'll be gradually rolling this out to desktop Windows and Mac customers beginning in mid-September. The roll out will be completed worldwide by mid-October."
