i am planning to roll out Teams in a medium size organisation, and adopted the new position of Teams...as the "portal to O365". Today I got a great question from my customer about "branding" of the teams app. They want the app to align with corporate branding, as you can do with O365 portal.
Any plans to support any customization to the Teams experience?
As a partner, i would like a "whitlabeling" option, but i guess that is not an option :)

i think branding in Sharepoint will be solved, with the resent announcement...and maybe it would be a great idea to have the ability to put the Sharepoint Teamsite as the "first" Tab in the General channel, but that was more then i was thinking of :)
I was primary looking for logo / background picture / colors
The difference between office apps and Teams, is that Teams is more then an App...it is the new Portal to Office 365. Just as portal.office.com can be "branded"...
And if we move to next step, where we do industry specific solutions to Teams, look-and-feel could make a huge difference....in my opinion.

In next Quarter of 2018 they will be major update for Teams that will include Powershell CMD , admin management, police so maybe this will include some thing like Team Template. For now each site of Teams is separet form SPO and even GA cannot access teams site, so we have to wait for new features for managemnt

Thanks, but I'm sorry to bother you once again as it looks like there is no statement to the CI topic mentioned above.
What I found on the uservoice links is they're working on Powershell management. On the roadmap you find Teams templates, so you can deploy channels etc. by using templates.
Where did you get the branding / corporate design statement? It looks like you misssed to mention that in the link list before.
Can you please add that link?

not included in this roadmap description, but it think this one is marked as "planned"
not sure if that refers to the roadmap item (didn't find the ID on the thread), but obviously you're right - they will implement.

Themes in Outlook seems to work (ok, benchmarking with personalization in Windows might be a stretch target), hard to see that different colors, a logo and background images will mess up help/documentation...again, it works for Office 365 portal.
I understand that Microsoft want to "own" the experience, but i think customer-branding would be a great asset for driving adoption of Teams as "the portal to Office 365".

I feel that offering a branding configuration option would be strategic for some orgs. My company is small and this could be a game changer for us- branding Teams using our Company's logo/colors etc= this essentially offers a customer portal for us. We already have guests set up and are using- branding would be excellent.

We are planning for teams roll-out and we will have many teams for projects with external partners/guests - but the branding is missing! The invitation email says our company name, but as a guest I cannot find the company name anywhere for the team, much less a logo or any kind of branding - this will be critical so guests know what company is behind a team!
