Why when joining a scheduled meeting we are now before we can get into the meeting being presented with a "Choose your audio and video settings" dialog with the webcam turned on by default? Our Teams clients weren't doing this 2 weeks ago so must be a recent update?
It's rare we ever want a webcam on (either not needed or the area we are in cameras aren't permitted) so being challenged in this way with the webcam set to on before we join every meeting is highly annoying.
Can't there be the ability in the Settings area to set default preferences for video or just rely on people clicking the Video icon when in a meeting to activate their webcam?
Which is fair enough because that's how you/your team/your business wants to operate. I just want Microsoft to provide the ability for users to set their own defaults and/or remember options to make things less inconvenient.
