Attached Images in Teams Does not Show up

Hi,

 

I have quite a lot of conversations in Teams Channel that are sent via mobile devices, which allows photo to be attached. Apparently there's a change in Teams now that the attached photos disappeared and unable to load it from the desktop client. Please advise. Attached is an example of what the photos look like now.

I have similar issue to show image on Android device (Samsung S8), but ok to view the message on Windows10 desktop.

 

Same test had done on iPhone without issue.

Facing the same issue on Android app (v1416).

Image appears on mobile, but don't on others clients.

Image appears after ~30-60mn. Not a great User Experience.

This issue just appeared at my company today. Users can add pictures, but after message is sent a placeholder is shown. It takes 30-60 minutes before preview is shown.
Tested on both Windows and Android on several users.

We have been experience images not show including previously worked before 23 Dec.

This seems more like a bug on Teams then the configuration problem since we checked that the message sent are in correct format following the documentation which works normal before, using XML inline image <img src='https://[company domain]//chatimg/11_2_6_2.png' width='618' height='417'>

We observer a strange behavior is that the image is automatically turn into https://teams.microsoft.com/undefined for unknown reason.

Same issue on my end... Images are no longer displayed in a conversation sent by a Teams chatbot to a user whereas the link to the image is valid.

It worked previsously and stopped working after the last week of December 2019....

FYI we are using MS Teams desktop application and we are facing this issue on all operating systems...

 

Looks like a bug...

Good news, I did check again today and the issue seems to be resolved without changing anything in the code. 

All is good so far on my end.

 

So it confirms that it was an issue in Teams.

 

If someone has a clue of what happened it will be good to know...

Do you know if Microsoft has revoked their changes? or else?

@skanjanasakchai It seems no one has an answer to this. In the spirit of troubleshooting, it may be helpful to see if (as long as you can get a consistent email header, domain or other email field) adding something to the safe senders list through Exchange Mail Flow rules. When I open the email via the View Original Email button and Download the Images, they show up. The pictures not revealing themselves may have to do with that.

Exit MS Teams

Clear your browser’s image cache

2.1. Google Chrome

Open Google Chrome
Click on the three vertical dots in the top right corner of your browser
Select History
Click History
In the top left corner, click on the option Clear browsing data
Set the Time range to All time
Mark all three options including :
Browsing history,
Cookies and other site data
Cached images and files
Click on Clear data

 

2.2. Internet Explorer

Launch Internet Explorer
Press Ctrl + Shift + Del
Press Ctrl + H
Click the Settings button
Scroll down to Internet Options and click it
Click the Setting button
Follow to History.
Type 0 in the box Days to keep pages in history.
Click OK.
Go back to Internet Options and press Delete button
Go to the Content tab
Select AutoComplete Settings
Select Delete AutoComplete History
Click Delete
Click OK

 Open MS Teams

I was having a similar issue with any images that I posted not displaying. I am an iOS user.

I simply did a full uninstall, ran a registry cleaner, restarted my PC, and download and re-install of Teams on my PC.   When I logged back in after the fresh install, all images were there in all chats and working properly.

 

Took maybe 10 minutes.

@skanjanasakchai our school  has two issues with TEAMS forms which is making it completely unusable. The first issue is annoying but the second is serious.

 

1) Pictures often do not load and students need to keep refreshing their browsers

2) If you create a form in your own area and then copy and move it to a different team for them to use, you find that randomly pictures have been removed from the form. It doesn't remove them all, just randomly about 20% of them. This means that the form has to be mended and they have to be re-added. BIG BUG!

Logging out and back in in the Teams App on Windows did the trick. Still, I think this is a silly bug which should be seen to.

Not sure if this answers the original issue but I had a broken image icon when looking back at old conversations. The following did the trick:

Exit out of Teams Desktop app. Clear this folder %AppData%\Microsoft\Teams\Cache. Relaunch Teams and the images now show.
