Any news on the improved channel file tab experience?

Are there any news on the promised improved channel file tab experience ( MS roadmap feature ID 51234 ) ? It was supposed to go live in Q3 2019... Does anyone have any clue as to when the changes will launch, and if the updated experience will support SharePoint columns

It's still making its way through the release rings, I suppose few last issues to fix before releasing it publicly. Custom views/columns are supported, with some limitations (mainly you have to add the columns via SPO, but they will be reflected in Teams).

@Ian Moran it's not in rollout yet, some private testing is happening with select organisations. Last I heard there were some issues being resolved soon, and broad release will happen provided nothing new comes up.

Teams features tend to not go via First Release.
