I've got the desktop version of Teams working great.  I'm able to connect online as well.  I downloaded the Android app, and I enter in my acct name, and hit login and it tells me it can't login.  But there's no place for the password.  What am I missing?  Isn't there supposed to be a password field?

I have Android App installed since some weeks ago and It has worked with no problems

Hi Sean, that's very odd to not see a password field to authenticate.  Can you please share this as a bug via the Feedback tool in product (or using User Voice: http://aka.ms/teamspublicfeedback) so that our product team can triage.  Have you tried un-installing and re-installing again?  Please share a screenshot of the error you see.  Thank you for reporting this!

Debugged the issue with @Sean McCown offline. We suspect this is the issue - https://sslmate.com/blog/post/ct_redaction_in_chrome_53.

 

Updating to latest version of Android System WebView resolved the issue.

I had similar issue. There was no place for the password, and the app got stuck in loging me in. I worked around the issue by entering an invalid account. That brought me to the standard Microsoft login page (in app), and from there I could log in with password.

 

I added my work around to this thread in case someone else with similar issue winds up here like I did.

I have the same issue on android.  Version 56 of chrome.

 

I've removed the Android system view updates, removed chrome updates... still the same.

Yes, our problem was that we had a 5 year certificate and androids have a problem with anything over 3 years.  We replaced our 5 year certificate with a 3 year one and voila.  Fixed.

The server is not sending the required intermediate certificate. This server needs to be configured to include DigiCert's intermediate certificate to avoid trust errors in web browsers.

Same here, MS Teams just shows the place for work email address. Having written that, it doesn't open up anything new and pressing login just says "Something went wrong,.." with a red text under the email holder box. I'm using Android 7.x which no longer uses Android System Webview but instead has it in Chorme which I've also upgraded to the latest.

 

MS Teams work just fine from desktop.

Same issue here - running V 1416/1.0.0.2017110601.

I had a well functioning version installed. Since a while I recognized that it doesn't sync new content anymore. So I uninstalled the software and re-installed this latest version. Now I cannot login anymore. It says (in German language) "Unfortunately there have been problems with your login. Try again later". 

I think it must have to do with autoupdating to the latest Version (so it didn't sync anymore) - but it kept the login credentials. Then after reinstalling the software it fails also to login. 

I have a Huawai P10 lite dual SIM - latest release.

BTW - other MS Apps like OneDrive work fine.
