Allow replies but not publishing

Copper Contributor

I'm using teams as a platform where my students can hand in assignments and find news about the course. It has worked well so far, except that students sometimes post messages in General rather than sending chat messages to me. To solve this issue I had to restrict the students' privileges so that they can't post messages in general. However, I still think it'd be great if they could reply to the posts I publish. I just don't want them publishing messages in General as it would make it messy. Is it possible to allow them to reply to my posts while being unable to make posts of their own?

Hi @Linus145

Currently, not possible. However uservoice open for it here

Would vote to push it up the agenda. It would be great to bring the general channel in line with others from a moderation perspective so I have voted on it too

Hope that answers your question!

Best, Chris
Thank you! I've voted :)
Hi,

In Teams for education you also have something called assignments. Check it out.
