Admin rights for Teams Premium

Does the IT/Teams admin account need to be assigned a Teams Premium license to be able to configure Teams Premium features in the admin center?

Any user benefiting from Teams Premium functionality needs to have a Teams Premium license assigned, so you should be good to go being an admin for setting it up. Can't verify as my trial has expired.
