Adding more than one person to a shift

Copper Contributor

Hi

Is there a way of adding more than one person to a shift within Teams?

We currently use Basecamp for project scheduling and currently the only thing that doesn't seem to be dynamic on shifts is to add more than one person to a shift.

Of course we could copy and paste the shifts but making changes on the fly especially when using the mobile app is not very friendly. Desktop is better but not great for this function if shifts constantly change.

@sulli1 Yes, typically you either

  • Create a shift for one person then copy/paste that to another
  • Create an open shift with multiple slots, then assign people to those.

Do you know of any future developments to would enable to assign more than one person to a shift?

Is there a way of requesting features?

Many Thanks

Andy

@sulli1 I know what you mean - it's not **really** assigning two members to one shift, it's more like auto duplicating a shift for two people.  When you then edit the shift details on one person, it does not update the other person, making for double work any time the service crew has new information.
