Adding and removing users from admin panel

Copper Contributor

Hello!

I have been using MS Teams for teaching since last year and so and recently, I have been granted the user administration rights for the same. Now, I want to create multiple classes in teams and I want to add the students from the common group (which is created in the admin panel). However, when I add/remove student from that common group, the addition or removal is not reflected in the respective teams.

Please note that the addition/removal of students is very frequent in all the teams and we want to do it centrally like a common group, as mentioned above.  Request you to suggest the solution for this matter and also suggest better way to do this, if possible.

Hi aggajjar. I think your issue may be that the Groups management in MS 365 Admin Centre is for several different types of groups, not just the Teams you have created in MS Teams. (This article was helpful for me: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/microsoft-365/admin/create-groups/compare-groups?WT.mc_id=365AdminC...)

I would suggest you try using the Azure portal for adding/removing users. It has a lot more features, including the ability to bulk add/remove by uploading CSV. That has saved me lots of time when managing user groups.

Here's some detailed info on Azure: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/modules/manage-users-and-groups-in-aad/
