Add guest from Teams admin center vs Teams client

Teams admin role.


I'm not able to add guests from the Teams admin center. It seems to me that Add Member only searches internally for users. 




While in the Teams client the search also includes external seach and I'm able to add the guest.




Add a guest to a team - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Docs states that I should be able to add guests from the admin center.


Any idea what I am doing wrong here?

Hi, they need to already be in your org. when using TAC.


Added this Highlight that you can't add a (new) external user from TAC · Issue #8313 · MicrosoftDocs/OfficeDocs...

Thanks for the reply Christian. I expected it to be like that, but was unsure since the docs did not mention user need to be in org first.
