Users can choose to either share the channel with individuals or with teams. To share the channel with another team, users choose ‘Share with another team’ after creating the channel. Next, they need to invite the owner of the team – internal or external- who they would like to share the channel with. If the user owns the invitee team, they can directly add it using ‘Share with team you own’.
The team owner will get a notification, asking them to accept the invite. Once they accept, they will choose the Teams team they would like to share the channel with. The channel owner will receive a request to approve. Once approved, the channel will be shared with all the members of that team.
