Teams meetings currently supports up to 49 videos. We are now introducing paging to help you view up to 98 videos. When you choose Large Gallery view, and if there are more than 49 videos, navigation controls < and > would appear below the Large Gallery and you can use these controls to view or engage with more video participants.
Available to everyone in public preview channel
When you are in Large gallery view and there are more than 49 videos, you can now use navigation controls < and > to view more participants.
Note: If you need information about enabling the public preview itself, see “Enable the public preview for Teams” below.

hope you'll be able to add this to Linux client as well. Current 4x4 grid is the only option on this platform which makes me use Zoom where I have choice.
