Known limitations

  • Teams doesn't save captions.
  • Make sure the language you select is the language everyone is speaking in the meeting.
  • When you change the spoken language setting, it affects everyone. The captions and transcript language will change for all meeting participants.

Enable your Teams client for the public preview

  1. First, IT admins need to set an update policy that turns on Show preview features. Learn how at Public preview in Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Docs.
  2. Users then choose to join the public preview individually. See Get early access to new Teams features - Office Support (microsoft.com) for instructions.

@Laura_Morgan When will Firefox be supported? What is the difference between the bold Y and the non-bold Y in the "Supported clients and platforms table"?
When will you fix this limitation below? Translated captions will only be good for one-way presentations, not discussions

When you change the spoken language setting, it affects everyone. The captions and transcript language will change for all meeting participants.
