Microsoft teams BLANK PASSWORD SCREEN

Hello there,

i have downloaded Microsoft Teams app for my MacBook Air like a few months ago for my school, and it was working fine.
then one day i was trying to login to Microsoft Teams, i put my email ID, then the password page should have came but a blank screen came instead. When i pressed on the cross which closes the page, a page like this came- 

OS version: MacOS El Captain 10.11.6

could you please help me to fix the issue
