I'm a school administrator and my teachers all use Teams with their students. We're an unusual off-campus program, and I typically end up subbing for sick teachers. Because of this, I had them add me as a teacher in their classroom Teams. It sounded like an easy way to make sure I had the access I'd need when I got a call at 5:00 AM this fall.
What has resulted is that my Teams notifications are now basically useless because I am being notified of every assignment that is posted by every teacher. The red dot never goes away, so I don't know when I have something that actually needs my attention.
I've gone into each Team individually and turned off all notifications, but this doesn't seem to disable the assignment notification. Is there a way to do this, or perhaps a smarter way to approach my problem in general?
