Is there a way for student webcams to be seen by the teacher only?

Hi

Question: Is there a setting that limits attendee (student) webcams to only be seen by the presenter (teacher) and not other attendees?

Reason:  We're using Teams for our remote learning with our classes at school.  Currently we do not allow students to have their webcams on, but we'd like to investigate whether we can change this.  We feel the benefit of the teacher seeing the students reactions / facial language is huge.

Our concern is that when we do, all students in the class can see each other and this potentially opens up a bullying culture where students screen shot or photograph other students and abuse them (this has been seen in other schools).

Thanks in advance for any support offered.

Hello @adambrunink. Welcome to the Microsoft Techcommunity. Unfortunately there are a couple of teacher scenarios that are not catered for by Ms Teams. One has to understand the roots of Ms Teams. It was primarily built as an Enterprise level communications/collaboration platform. After that, some adaptations were made for education. We (in education) benefit by the fact that Microsoft is actively developing it for business. In many ways it is an excellent platform but it has its shortcomings in educational settings. Your scenario is unfortunately not catered for as far as I am aware.
