The Polly App offers a native integration in Microsoft Teams to foster collaboration and productivity. By creating instant polls with live results, your team can easily participate while Polly makes it easy and fun for users to engage and increase participation.

With the updated version of Polly, you can now create a poll from the Polly Tab and:

  • select from more question types

Polly will also track the results and will offer a dashboard view in their Tab with a summary and details of all your active Polls.

Add comments to a poll

Sometimes, additional context is necessary when you’re responding to a poll. Now you can add comments in-line that look and feel much cleaner than in-thread messages. To learn more about how to add and view comments, visit their help docs.

Will Polly have advanced features such as branching logic, or is Forms recommended for this? I created one survey using SharePoint's Survey app, and it is barely usable as it currently stands.

Hi @John Kirkilis

Great question! Nhi here, from the Polly team. That's definitely high on our priority list for our next product update, but unfortunately, it's not available in the product just yet. Polly is definitely the best option for surveying your team where they already work (in MS Teams) since there's zero friction and it's super simple for both the audience and the author, but if skip/branch logic is absolutely critical right now, then Google Forms does currently offer that.

Would love to hear what else you're interested in seeing aside from branching logic!

@Julian Morelliis there a cost to use Polly?

Hi

I was just trying to use Polly to create a poll (a bit like a doodle poll) to collate dates and times for people's availability for a teleconference. I used Microsoft forms to do it previously. There was only the ability to add 10 options though. Will there be the ability to add more options in the future or will there be a way of having sub options for questions eg Tuesday 16th October as an answer with sub answers of 10:00, 10:30 and 11:00. That would be really great if that was to be a future option.

Thanks

Hi @Shaun Jennings, no there's no cost!

I know how to delete a Polly poll, but how do I delete Polly completely from a timeline. I have set one up, in Teams, thinking I may add it to a Team Channel. I did some tests, but now don't want it showing, or any evidence of it. I don't want the first thing they see on a new Teams site to be a Poll that doesn't actually feature.

Why can't I add Polly to a private channel?

Can poll owners/administrators export poll results data?

Not applicable

Is there a way to edit a poll once it has been created and scheduled before it is live? There's no "edit" option. Can't even open it to see what the questions are. Thanks

Hi, do you have a database within this Polly app? What I specifically need is that I could track the historical records of polls in the past, so if you store previous tools in your database, it would be great!

Copper Contributor

Why would you use Polly when you have MS Forms?  What's the advantage to Polly over Forms?
