What is the timeline for Yammer being an option in a Teams channel? We have been adding them as websites, but it would be easier for users to be able to see a Yammer Tile in the options. Although Teams is great for a large group, Yammer is still valuable for company wide learnings!

Hey Sarah, this is a great suggestion! It is something we are looking into but I don't have a timeline for it.

@Luis Carrasco I would assume that it would have been planned as it is apart of the O365 Stack and the rest of O365 tools have a tile! Just a suggestion.

"Although Teams is great for a large group..."
This sounds a little bit opposite of how MS began pushing Teams and Yammer at Ignite. Teams is for the small group...your Inner Loop. Yammer is still the prescribed method for larger group - Outer Loop - conversations.

I am surprised it is not already an option to add a Yammer tab. If a team has already adopted Yammer and using it regularly I would want them to be able to continue right within their Team.

Teams is great for a large group, but it depends on how you break down your channel structure and who is subscribing to what channels. Some Teams could be overwhelming if too many people are in too many channels.

This is an excelent Blog Post that describes how to integrate Yammer in a Tab using the Yammer Embed Feature. https://buildbod.com/2017/10/02/adding-yammer-feeds-to-a-microsoft-team

Tried the embed method and it didn't work for us - works in the browser but on the app keeps asking to login. Need something dedicated I think rather than a workaround ...

Exactly Jason! From my perspective these two paradigms work perfectly together.
For example, you may have a larger group of business users (Yammer) who are requesting a project be done, and a smaller group of IT who are working to accomplish that goal but don't necessarily want all the users to be privy to all the internal communications and planning within IT (Teams). ;)
