This is not an answer to his question. He is not talking about partner call-center integrations but when WE (Teams admins) will be able to connect our existing SIP phone hardware directly to Teams voice via the announced "SIP Gateway" Microsoft announced last year and then released updated announcements this year:
Please let us know what the status of this is.

SIP Gateway generally available in November
The SIP Gateway solution will become available in November, enabling use of existing compatible 3rd party SIP phones hardware. SIP Gateway enables Teams core calling functionality on select Cisco, Poly, Yealink and AudioCodes SIP phones such as making and receiving calls with hold/resume and transfers, dialing in to or out from meetings, integration with Teams routing policies, management in the Teams Admin Center and more.
