Hi, Id like to understand more where all content from discussions in channels are saved? Im getting alot of questions regarding this already. Also how all content can be saved with hold policies, and what happens in the case if a policy is a applied and a user edits a message in the first 24hours, does the pre edited message and new message appear if you do a search after?
Live chat data are stored in an Azure services specific for Teams. Archived chats are stored in Exchange - group mailbox for teams/channels chat and user mailbox for private chats.
Edited messages are archived along the original.
The policies and searches are managed via the Office Compliance and Security Center (protection.office.com) and you can also see download some technical guidance in the big Word doc at www.successwithteams.com.
