Planner integration

Will we eventually have more capabilities with the Planner integration? Currently it seems that we can create multiple plans within Teams, but they don't appear in Planner, and the main plan that is already created in Planner does not appear in teams.

Some things I'm hoping to see regarding planner integration.

• Ability to see the main group plan in Teams.
• Ability to have conversations around individual tasks. Currently, it seems, we can only do that in Planner on the main plan. Within teams we can only have a conversation around the entire plan.

We are talking to the Planner team to address both of those cases. We've heard a lot of feedback on this, as one might expect -- we just didn't get to these scenarios for the initial launch.

I'm trying to figure out where the Planner task records are actually stored? Is that easy to answer or is there a link that explains the Planner data architecture?

The integration of misosoft teams with microsoft planner is very poor. There is an urgent need the 

ability to see the main group plan in Teams. This lack of integration complicates much work making and forces the use of other applications for the management of teams

Hey Bill,

Is there any ETA on when this would be done? 

We have about 50 members team that want to utilize MS Teams integrated with MS Planner.

As of now the best way is not to use them in Integrated way, use them seprately. Yes this is a potential deal breaker for me too :(

Hi Azfar,

The good news is that they are planning to fully integrate Teams and Planner in the coming months. Now it's up to the MS guys to deliver on that, hopefully we get it sooner than later :)

Hi,

Great link, and I can see some of those solutions is already implemented. However I can not figure this:

Create a new Team in Teams also create a Plan in the Planner Hub.

But, if I add a second plan in that Team, it does not show up in the Planner Hub. The only way to reach it is to click "Go to Website" from Teams (Planner-tab).

When you choose to see Files from that second Plan you are directed into the top Level document area, and not into the document area for the specific Plan.

In this area I have a question too. I am currently trying to figure out if Planner can be used for personal tasks creating a Plan just for myself and not linked to any Team. Is someone able to give me support solving this doubt? Thanks
