@Simon Bromfield - From the Build announcement today: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-blog/what-s-new-in-microsoft-teams-build-edit...
NDI for Teams and Skype TX Interoperability
Broadcast events and studio productions from a virtual stage in Teams! We are introducing New Network Device Interface (NDI) support and Skype TX interoperability for Microsoft Teams, which offers a more advanced set of production options for public or private customized, high-scale broadcasts. Coming soon, NDI for Microsoft Teams transforms a Teams meeting into a virtual stage by converting each participant's video into a discrete video source that can be used in the production tool of your choice, OBS, Wirecast, Xsplit, StreamLabs and many more. This functionality enables you to use Teams meetings in other ways, including hosting a professional broadcast.
Meanwhile new interoperability of Teams with Skype TX devices—the devices commonly used in broadcast production today—enables production teams to connect in 1:1 calls for interviews and newscasts with professional capabilities including caller queuing and connection quality management.
Good question on if there will be a preview of this functionality - @RomanM - have you heard if there is a way to test publicly?

@Simon Bromfield I too am EXTREMELY interested in the NDI support. I only hope that they solve the 2 main issues of Skype's implementation: the hard-embedded watermark and separate audio for each presenter.
My two long standing bugs with Skype's version is that every external guests' audio comes through one another and can cause MAJOR audio desyncing / echoing if not handled correctly, and that Skype now hard-embeds the watermark in any output signal.
If you do see anything come by for the beta or are able to test it, please post back, or if you're ever wanting a high quality video tester I can make myself available.

@Simon Bromfield We are also very interested in how NDI will be integrated into Teams. We have moved quite a few large in-person events to virtual and it would be a great help when we have groups of people present their talks.
We would LOVE to get in on the beta and start testing.

Just wondering if we can get an update from Microsoft here. Is there any news or info that somebody can provide regarding some of the questions we have regarding it's handling of audio as well as whether it uses HX or not?

@nateporter based on their response to me here:
They are not sharing any timelines with the general public (yet). The original release that they stated has come and gone. Pretty disappointing but what I've come to expect from Microsoft. June release = late fall, early winter update. So much for production people using it as a replacement for Zoom. They're prioritizing 7x7 over NDI apparently. Priorities are for general public, not professionals.
