It seems like what is lacking the most is the admin functionality of Teams. For example, how can an administrator view a private Team between two organization members, monitor the files that are stored within the Team, Add/remove members from the admin console, etc. ?
When you are asking about "private Team" I think that you're referring to a chat - is that right?
Today in the Teams admin center there's the capability to manage Teams & Channels including viewing the members, changing member role, adding & removing channels, etc. This is something we plan to continue to enhance and add more capabilities.
We can certainly look at expanding the scope of this capability to include chats....that being said the number of chats in an org would be astronomical.....we would certainly need to think a bunch about how this capability would be useful for IT pros without being overwhelming. Are the capabilities you would want to see here what you indicated below? Managing members, etc.?
Hi McGrecon, The Teams & Skype Admin center can now show private Teams to global administrators (and some new Team Admin Role users) via the Teams tab. There is a bug recently where not all Teams are showing but they are slowly getting updated and popping in. But you can use this interface to control Teams settings and membership.
As for files etc. You would either have to add yourself as an owner to go view everything or you have to use alternative methods for accessing the resources such as Security and Compliance center and searchign the attached SharePoint site content for the files and or adding yourself to the Team attached SharePoint site via SharePoint admin center or powershell.
