Is there a good resource (article or diagram) that explains the differences and benefits of Groups and Teams. There's so much information out there it's hard to find current documents.

Office 365 Groups is the membership infrastructure that controls access to the various O365 services. Groups should be thought of as behind the scenes enabling the Teams (or Yammer or SharePoint) experience. It's important not to confuse the two. Teams, Yammer or SharePoint is what users will see. O365 Group capabilities are used by IT Pro's to manage that experience. For instance we apply naming conventions or governance at the Groups level and then that flows through the rest of the experiences.
