Why can't I embed videos and make them public?

Copper Contributor

I am tearing my hair out trying to work around Stream's user permissions.

Each week I teach a weekly yoga class to an organisation with a large mailing list. At the start of this year I migrated from Zoom to Teams and I've been trying to work out how to make class recordings available to participants.

I have a private webpage where I embed the videos each week that class participants access - but it does not seem that I can embed the video in such a way that doesn't require me emailing a big list, one that is continuously changing, each week.

Can someone help me to make these recordings available?

My only other option seems to be to download the video and host it via Youtube, but this number of steps just feels excessive.

Any help appreciated!

Thanks,

Claire

@restoreyoga - we don't support public embed codes from Stream / OneDrive / SharePoint sorry.

You could create a share link that's "Anyone" and then send them the link which when they click it they'll be able to play on our player page, but we don't support that for embed codes.

The other option is to look using Teams webinars but that just allows you to have people watch the recording of the webinar in the Teams webinar platform, I don't think they support embed codes either.
