  1. Provide a 'Watched History' for users for videos that they have watched in the past
  2. Video tracking for users so that they can revisit videos and continue watching the video from where they left off

Marc Mroz (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/114) helped formalize these ideas after I asked a question on the tech community Stream Forum.

I'm really surprised there is no method for a user to track or get a visual hint that they've watched a video before.

I've just joined a new company where on the onboarding material is in Streams and it's incredibly frustrating to watch and rewatch material again and again and not have a way to track your progress.

I'm surprised this feature isn't available especially in the era of Video everything.  It is frustrating to following many Stream Channels and then forget what has already been viewed or even return after a system restart to try and find the Stream that was being watched and then have no idea where you got to in the content.

 

This is obviously tracked via other solutions like "YoutTube" and makes it easy to follow a series of videos or even continue or revisit etc.
