A great idea for your videos is to add JavaScript events and actions to be able to monitor and control the player from outside code, for example related to start, stop, end of playback, fast forward, rewind, jump to time code, mute, etc. This will enable developers to build experiences on top of and around videos. 

 

To put this in context what I am wanted to do is use Microsoft Steam as a platform to host our internal training videos and when a user watches one of the training videos it will mark the training course as completed in a SharePoint list.

 

Currently I am having to use a timer in the background to guess when a user may have finished watching the videos which is not the best of solutions.

I would love to see this feature. Specially an onEnded event to detect when video ends.
