I uploaded a tutorial video today, but afterwards I accidently deleted it. When I tried to restore, I couldn’t find any restore options.
I'dd love to see the feature in Stream to be able to restore deleted videos!
Yes, it would be good to have this feature in future.
With no restoration feature, users might even hesitate to promote uploading on streams and would end up storing into SharePoint or on other external sources. A 30 days restoration should not be difficult to be provided.
[If x-days is a problem, this feature can alternatively be provided either by total x-size in bin or say max x-number of files in bin]. But this restoration feature should be considered.

Agree with above. Hard to see how basic recycle bin functionality would not be included here.
Wow ! this makes the product very uncommercial. Making it risky to use across the organisation
Did anyone figure out restoration options on Stream. (can tenant admins restore a deleted video?)
Is the option of video restore available now?
No, at the moment.
We have started development on adding a video recycle bin to allow deleted videos to be restored within 30 days of deletion. Development should finish on project within the next quarter or so.
Thanks @Marc Mroz, & glad its picked.
This was indeed a red flag for us in scenarios like : a recorded meeting (from Teams / live event recordings) gets deleted and Stream/Tenant admins would not be able to restore.
Any new progress on this?
We like to start working witg stream, The restore option is a key feature for us.
Please update the progress in development
It will be great to have a recycle bin for Stream videos. Thanks
@Mary Ellen Heidelberg , @dRgICT , @RBening - We are finishing the last few work items for the "Recycle bin" project where you'll be able to restore deleted videos up to 30 days after the delete happens.
We are hoping that in the next 1-2 months we'll be able to have this feature fully rolled out to everyone.
This is how it will work...
Users will be able to see deleted videos in the Recycle bin that they are the owner of, either because they uploaded it, or because someone else granted them owner permissions.
Stream admins will be able to see deleted videos in the Recycle bin across the entire tenant in case a Stream admin needs to come find a recently deleted video and restore it
Thanks for the update @Marc Mroz :)assume the comments, likes, permissions, etc will get retained while restoring.
And will it be possible to do bulk restore (just incase an entire channel gets deleted).
Thank you very much for the information @Marc Mroz . We are eagerly waiting to see this feature in MS Stream.
Thanks for the update, @Marc Mroz . Will look forward to using the capability, once it is released!
also interested in knowing when this is operational
@Marc Mroz We're looking forward to this too. We've run into a few issues with people using MS Teams to record meetings, being told the recording is ready, and then getting "recording not found" when they try to open it. Hopefully this will help.
Will this also work for deleted channels?
Is Stream Recycle bin available now?
We've added a 30 day video recycle bin for Stream recently. So now you can recover deleted videos for up to 30 days after they are deleted.
As a user you can get to the recycle bin for videos you own by going to: My content > Recycle Bin. See this article for more info: https://docs.microsoft.com/stream/portal-my-recycle-bin
As a Stream admin if you need to restore or permanently delete a video from the recycle bin on behalf of user you can do that as well by going to: Gear > Stream admin > Recycle bin. See this article for more info on the admin view of the recycle bin: https://docs.microsoft.com/stream/admin-recycle-bin
Thank you @Marc Mroz & team, Tested in our lab and it works - Nice to see the comments related to deleted video were also restored.
