It would be great to have a feature where you can replace/edit the source video file in Steam. This will allow URLs to remain static for content that may change (or need a quick correction) and not disrupt the user experience.

Corporate video has constant change requests and revisions. This feature is one of the best things about Vimeo, and would be amazing to have here on Stream as well. Please add!
This enterprise video platform was greatly needed and it is brilliant! Thank you Streams for making it happen. Users and contributors are what build Wiki platforms like Streams.. Hesitant users stifle wiki growth.
Humans just make mistakes like spelling errors, etc. Content takes hours and hours to build. It is frustrating for any creator when his video becomes obsolete because of simple errors realized after an upload. The world is already full of enough broken links. Please create a replace option.
I am hearing this request from several of my large enterprise customers. This capability would unblock a lot of great adoption.
Agree, this will be most useful feature, its a real show stopper without. Why is this still "Under Review"?
I work in corporate communications and we leverage many of the Office 365 apps as channels for communicating. We have recently increased the amount of video content we are using in our communications and in many instances, small updates need to be made. Having the ability to update the existing version in Stream yet keep the hyperlink static would add tremendous value.
This is becoming a serious issue in our environment. Is there any ETA or update on how this is coming?
So changing the status to "New" means what exactly?
Last time it happened, it was an accidental status change.
@Marc Mroz Why is this listed as new??? It was under review for a while. It would be ideal if it was changed to COMPETED!!!
I can even upload a new version of a video in SharePoint!
This is hurting my feelings.
This is starting to feel like begging Twitter for an edit button.
Sorry for the change on this. This is under review from our team and are hoping to have more insights to change very soon. Thank you for your continued patience on this and we are treating this as a high priority ask.
Thank you all for requesting this idea. Would love to hear more about how you would like to use this feature, so we are looking for some quick feedback though the following form. If you are interested in this feature, please do fill it out
Feedback left on form thank you Amit .
Great, Just filled in the form. Hope to see this soon. And we would prefer if you fix some bascis in a piecemeal fashion rather that taking a long time to deliver a huge and complete solution.
Great to see that this has started, and the form makes me appreciate some of the nuances that come with what seems like a simple request. I hope that the form feedback allows this to be implemented fairly smoothly and quickly!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.... this feature is a game changer for us! I agree with Andreas... bring us the ability to upload a revised video and keep view history first and the rest can come later! Thanks for the detailed questionnaire!
GREAT! The questionnaire is really good, excellent use case for MS Forms. I hope to see this soon.
We're trying to consolidate all of our Sharepoint 'wiki' pages and videos into one or two locations. The decision is to have documentation in a single Sharepoint repository and videos in the company Stream page with links between the two.
As everybody has mentioned, this becomes a chore when you have to update a video and redo all the links (which happens often). Our current solution is to have the Sharepoint link go to the Stream channel page, not he video itself. This is cumbersome when you have dozens of videos to scroll through to find the related video.
I suspect this issue is a key factor as to why people stay away from Stream and fixing it would see a marked improvement in Stream adoption
Thrilled to see this moving forward. The issue of broken links when embedding or linking to training initiatives insides an LMS has been a significant problem. Filled out the form, excited to see this progress.
We need it!
Starting to host training / how to videos. Many other pages will either embed or link to these videos so they must be replaceable without the URL changing!
Happy to see this work has started
I agree with the comments.
The feature would especially be useful when we will start to use ServiceNow, and link to specific videos in Stream as part of the solutions which will be provided to the users when they start to create a request.
It will be difficicult/huge task to update all links to a video, when it is updated, if the link is broken.
@Vishal Sood this is great news! Do you have a solution to implement or is this to let us know that you now have resources to begin working on a solution?
@Scott Tupper we have started active development on this.
@Vishal Sood very exciting! Is there a summary of the survey results that could possibly be shared? I'm very curious to hear how the community's input will be shaping the solution.
Awesome. Great anticipation for this!
