Questions around sharing in Yammer and video subtitles

Iron Contributor

Hi there,

We are starting to pilot MS Stream in our organization and are now receiving some specific questions from our end-user community.

  1. Can you share a Stream video in a Yammer announcement (not a post or an update) with the possibility to play inline directly from the message?
  2. Can you share or post a Stream video that has multiple language subtitles with the possibility to enable a specific subtitle to load by default during playback (e.g. with a URL parameter)?

Thank you and best regards,

Igor

Yammer only supports the inline play/preview of Stream (and other links) in posts, not announcements. Their composer for the announcements is different and doesn't support inline link previews, sorry. You can add your votes and comments to this idea on the Yammer User Voice forum: https://yammer.uservoice.com/forums/399627-yammer/suggestions/31638334-support-rich-media-in-annouce...

You can upload multiple subtitle tracks to a video in Stream but we don't have a way to default a specific subtitle track on via a URL parameter.
