Lose transcript features warning

One of our users has a banner on their Stream Page warning of "You’ll lose transcript features in XX days. See your admin to upgrade"

The have the Office 365 E3 licence which includes the Microsoft Stream for O365 E3 SKU and are a member of the Stream Trial which is not reporting any expiration date.

Is this related to the change from using Microsoft Stream to OneDrive for Business and Microsoft SharePoint for meeting recordings Rolling out incrementally beginning August 16?

*Edit* I see you're talking about the feature and not the transcript file! Well, in that case yes most likely. But it can be easily fixed. Leaving the previous reply with the below link for reference.

Hi, no they wouldn't delete any transcripts as Stream classic is still there for a long time. It's just the going forward part with the storage of meeting recordings that changes.

"Teams live transcript is stored in the meeting organizer's Exchange Online account. The transcript can be accessed through the meeting chat and Recording & Transcripts tab in Teams until a meeting organizer deletes the transcript."

When you say "But it can be easily fixed." is there an steps required to keep the transcript feature available or will this continue to function as normal once the XX days has expired?

No worries, what I meant is that when moving to OneDrive/SharePoint as storage instead of Stream (this will start happening for everyone in three days) you can enable the transcript feature using the Teams meeting policy. Using PowerShell, you configure the -AllowTranscription setting.
