Feature Request: Stop blocking right click so that picture-in-picture works

Microsoft

Whenever I look at a video on Microsoft Stream the first thing I do is go into dev tools, fine the <video> element, and remove the context menu event handler, so that I can right click on the video and use picture-in-picture.

Is there a reason why right click is blocked? Can that be reviewed? Picture-in-picture is a great feature of Windows and its a shame to see it not available, and annoying to workaround on every page load.

Hi @davidwengier

I have raised this for you on the new Stream uservoice site

https://stream.uservoice.com/forums/133762-general/suggestions/37129537-stop-blocking-right-click-so...

Would recommend to vote on it to push it up the agenda for the team! It’s a great ask and one I’d love to see!

Hope that answers your question!
