We're having some weird behaviour for which I cannot seem to find an explanation. We are implementing AIP and as such have installed the AIP plug-in/toolbar for the Office desktop apps.
We are also rolling out a new VPN solution.
When connected to corporate network on LAN or via a direct internet connection (i.e. at home), opening Office apps/files works at normal speed.
However once we connect the VPN, it takes up to 30 seconds for a file or Office program to open and it halts at 'Loading Azure Information Protection'.
We don't see anything out of the ordinary on firewall (there's no split tunneling so all internet traffic goes through the VPN once connected).
Our testers include a mix of people on Monthly and Semi-Annual Channel for Office so it does not seem build related.
Any ideas on how to go about finding out what's causing the delay are welcome :)
I suppose this is not something you can trouble Microsoft first line support with....

@Steve Hernou Hi! I also had same problems with AIP plugin... Problems was solve when I install VPN.
VeePN also cloak your computer's actual IP address, hiding it behind the IP address of the VPN server you're connected to. IP addresses are distributed based on location, so you can estimate someone's location simply by looking at their IP address.
