Microsoft Purview Endpoint DLP Popup

Copper Contributor

Hi Techcommunity,

We have turned on Endpoint DLP in our tenant, however we have no audit or restrictions for browser pasting. That being said, when some users paste into the Edge browser, they get this popup:

(Text: The information we checked was not sensitive. Select Ok to continue with paste.)

I cannot find any information about this on Google. What is causing this and how can we prevent it from appearing? Is this a Microsoft backend issue?

Thanks for the help.

Activity Explorer shows no activity from DLP that would cause this, fwiw

@Frank_Lancaster I'm not quite sure, but I think that might be the problem. Check your Just-in-Time-Setting

Solution
The issue ended up being something with Defender- for some reason the version of Defender was outdated (of an outdated version was being accessed instead of the most recently installed version) on the machine, and despite no policy being assigned to audit this action, it was triggering this notification. Microsoft support helped fix it. Check installed Defender versions and reach out to support if you get this issue.
