We are an educational institution in Asia. We are early days on implementing Data Retention and Data Loss Prevention policies.
We are licensed as Microsoft M365 A3 for Faculty.
This license includes the following components that may have implications for implementing DR and DLP:
- Azure Active Directory Premium P1
- Azure Information Protection Premium P1
- Information Protection and Governance Analytics – Standard
- Information Protection for Office 365 – Standard
- Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps Discovery
- Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Plan 1
- Office 365 Cloud App Security
Before digging into what could be done with the M365 Admin toolbox (Purview as the apparent successor to Compliance & Defender as the apparent successor to Security). I'd like guidance as to what features in Purview are available under an A3 license? Don't want to use up time going down roads that will be blocked).
