I have single layer (first stage) set of disposition review labels that are published by a retention policy.
The retention policy and labels were made using a powershell script and are visible under the data management tab of Purview.
I have a requirement to remove and apply a new retention policy to sites because of organisational updates.
If I remove a retention policy from a site which has a preservation hold library containing disposition review labelled items - what happens to these? After a short while the label is removed from the content, as determined by selecting the I button in the preservation library, but under compliance details the old disposition review label is still visible (although I appreciate this is a relic of classic mode). I am unsure if the label is still applied.
Will these still undergo disposition review as normal ? Will they just sit in the PHL forever?
