Earlier this month, the city of Osijek, Croatia, played host to hundreds of tech enthusiasts, MVPs, and community leaders for KulenDayz 2025, a grassroots conference that continues to redefine what it means to build inclusive, impactful tech communities.
A Regional Beacon of Collaboration
KulenDayz has long been a cornerstone of the Balkan tech scene, and this year’s edition was no exception. From September 4–6, the event brought together MVPs and community leaders from Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia, and beyond, creating a vibrant space for cross-border collaboration, mentorship, and innovation.
Held at the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek (FAZOS), the conference featured:
- Technical tracks spanning development, data, ITPro, design, and project management
- A dedicated KulenDayz Kidz track to inspire future innovators
- A full-day teambuilding experience with canoeing, archery, and cooking
- A legendary after-party celebrating local culture with music, rakija, and kulen sausage
MVPs Leading the Charge
What makes KulenDayz truly special is its community-first approach. The event is organized entirely by MVPs and local leaders who believe in the power of grassroots engagement. Their dedication ensures the conference remains authentic, inclusive, and deeply connected to the region’s needs.

The KulenDayz Kidz track was a standout feature this year, offering interactive workshops for children to explore technology through creativity and play. It’s a beautiful reminder that tech is for everyone, and that the future starts with empowering young minds.
While the main conference inspires professionals, KulenDayzKidz sparks curiosity in the next generation - bringing STEM, robotics, and IT to life for children in a fun and engaging way.
Where Culture Meets Code
KulenDayz isn’t just about sessions and slides - it’s about connection. Attendees shared meals, stories, and laughter, immersing themselves in the rich traditions of Slavonia and Baranja. The event’s name itself honors kulen, a spicy sausage native to the region, symbolizing the warmth and flavor of the community.
KulenDayz’s team-building day blends adventure and camaraderie, creating space for meaningful connections in the heart of Slavonia.
