MCSE 2012-Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Upgrade to 2016

Team...

I'm looking to upgrade my current MCSE 2012 to 2016. I've been told that passing the single 70-744 exam would upgrade my MCSE to 2016. if so, what is the path to upgrade from MCSE 2012 to 2019?

Thanks to all of you who have taking time in reading my post..

Hello @abcsimplenet

There are several updates regarding this topic. 1st of all this one:

https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-learn-blog/mcsa-mcsd-mcse-certifications-retire-wit...

The FAQ section at the bottom of the post is also interesting in regards to what will happen with earned certifications.  I personally would not push for an update of the MCSE. And that sentence you get from someone who has been an MCSE for as long as the title exists. It is more than a title. I consider it a brand. But times moved on and so looking forward was the only way to go.

Check out the newer announcements regarding the role based certifications: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-learn-blog/new-role-based-certification-and-trainin...

So an Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or an Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions  Architect Expert could be your new certification to go for.

I hope that helps
