Error 0xC0000142 when you start an Office 2016 application

HI.  I'm having trouble opening any word files.  Whenever I try to open a word document the above message appears.

Sorry to hear about your issues. Searching the web the most promising solution seems to be listed here:

Followed these steps and successfully reinstalled and opened Office 365 (Word)
