So exams 70-761 & 70-762 are retiring soon. We used these exams internally to validate that someone has the necessairy skills to develop SQL projects (on prems or on Azure). Now with the retirement of these exams, our only options are the Data Engineer role and the DBA one, both of which are not fulfilling that need (arguably, the role of a Data Engineer *could* include this, but this is not the case right now). This seems like a pretty big lack since A LOT of new projects are still done in SQL today.
Any plans to fix this ? Any other idea on how to test the ability of someone in T-SQL and overall db development?
