Learners will be able to take both exams until December 31, 2020, and these will satisfy prerequisite and certification requirements until the end of 2021.
This all-new, standalone certification has no prerequisites. The associated exam, MB-800, will be available in beta in October 2020.
Is this certification right for you? If you’re responsible for implementing and configuring Business Central core application setup processes for small and medium-sized businesses and for migrating data to Business Central, explore this certification. In earning this certification, you will build and validate skills in setting up Business Central, configuring role centers (including adapting insights, cues, action tiles, reports, and charts), configuring Financials, configuring Sales and Purchasing, setting up operations, and using Microsoft Power Platform components.

The exam associated with this new certification is PL-200.
What happens to exam MB-200? It will expire on December 31, 2020 but will still qualify as a prerequisite until December 31, 2021. After December 31, 2020, only PL-200 will be available. To compare the two exams, check out the new PL-200 skills outline document on the exam page. When you pass the new PL-200 exam, you’ll have earned your Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate certification and it will be valid for two years.
