Scenario: we have a KZ group created in kaiza.la for our O365 tenant. I add a user (not from our O365 tenant) to that group just using his phone number. When opening Kaizala on Mobile I see that group with O365 icon. When trying to open the group, it asks me to authenticate to O365...
Questions:
1. Does this mean I have to create a user in O365 for every user in Kaizala? I hope not! That would mess up my O365 tenant with tons of users...
2. If yes, what type of user is that? Regular, MailUser ... (not a guest user because that one I tried and didn’t work.)

Solution
Right - got it. Had to do some testing this evening.
From testing, I created an organisational (work) group in my personal Office 365 Tenant in the Kaizala Admin Portal. I called this 'Test Org'. I created Test Org and added my personal number and I was added to the group. The group had an Office 365 Icon on it, I was not prompted for credentials.
However, you can set policies on organisational/work groups. One of these being 'Mandate Office 365 account sign-in to the group. This may be why you were getting the prompt. You can check this by going to groups in the Kaizala Admin Portal, select group and next to group name there is a down arrow which says edit policies
So, hopefully that resolves that issue.
For your other questions
1.) You can add phone numbers of users in bulk, but there are a few simpler ways where you don't have to manually create all users in Kaizala
2.) As far as I can tell, these are classed as 'external users' and not regular or guest users. The only way I can tell this is by looking at the user in the directory menu in the Kaizala Management Portal which marks them as External.
Hope that answers your questions
Best, Chris

@Christopher Hoard Thx for your feedback. Your analysis of KZ users not being "guest users" is correct!
