Where does my managed application data get stored in Intunes (e,g Whatsapp for Business)?

Hi Team,

I am new to Microsoft Intunes and I had created a trial version account, pushed several Managed google play store apps to my phone, created dummy chats. I am wondering if the app data get saved in Intunes and if so where? Can I access it ?

Hi @onchari,

 

in general app data is not pushed to Intune. Regarding of your MAM compatible apps the config in MAM can enforce it to encrypt the data, but there is no app data roaming or backup to Intune.

 

BTW if we talk especially about 'Whats App for Business' the website tells us:

Messages that Stay with You

Your messages should be in your hands. That's why WhatsApp doesn't store your messages on our servers once we deliver them, and end-to-end encryption means that WhatsApp and third parties can't read them anyway.
