When using custom compliance policies, the status of the device is "Not Applicable"

Verified my devices were Azure AD joined using 'dsregcmd /status'. The devices are being co-managed > "This Windows PC is being co-managed between Intune and Configuration Manager". The Hash property and settingName match and the output returned is in JSON format. Please advice on this 'Not applicable" error message.

I had the same (but not co-managed) for me a simple reboot after creating the custom compliance policy solved it... I described it also in this blog
