Bronze Contributor

Hi all,

I cant seem to get the screen lock or desktop image to work through intune I use a URL which is the location of the image which I save in sharepoint. I use this link on open in a browser to make sure it works and opens correctly so its not a broken link.

Any ideas why it doesnt display of client devices?

Hey @AB21805,

The Policy CSP behind this setting works only for Windows 10 Enterprise and Education:

See here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/policy-csp-devicelock#devicelock-enfo...

see the Note section:

Note

This policy is only enforced in Windows 10 Enterprise and Education editions and not supported in Windows 10 Home and Pro.

Oliver

Hi @Oliver Kieselbach

I have followed this guide but still doesnt work: https://www.petervanderwoude.nl/post/easily-configure-desktop-and-lock-screen-image-via-windows-10-m...

When I look on client device along side the DesktopImageStatus I get 3 (Reg_DWORD) and on the doc it has 1

What does this mean and how do I rectify it so that it works?

Thanks in advance

Hi @AB21805,

look at the documentation for the Personalization CSP: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/personalization-csp

Note

Personalization CSP is supported in Windows 10 Enterprise and Education SKUs. It works in Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Pro in S mode if SetEduPolicies in SharedPC CSP is set.

Peter utilizes this Personalization CSP.

best,

Oliver
